Design Empowers Industries, Technology Unites Development —— Shanghai Electrical Engineering Design Research Association Visits and Interacts with Changzhou Pacific Power Company

On April 17, 2026, the Shanghai Electrical Engineering Design Research Association organized 13 mechanical and electrical department designers and design directors to conduct a technical visit and exchange activity at Changzhou Pacific Electric Equipment (Group) Co., Ltd. This event was hosted by the Shanghai Electrical Engineering Design Research Association, and was fully escorted and received by Shen Jianyuan, the general manager of Changzhou Pacific Power Transformer, and Jin Cuying, the general manager of the marketing department. The aim of this activity was to deeply study advanced power equipment manufacturing processes, connect with product technical parameters, and integrate first-line production experience into electrical design practice.
The visiting group successively visited the open-type dry-type transformer coil core production workshop, the 110kV transformer production workshop and its supporting base, as well as the medium-voltage 40.5kV gas-insulated equipment production workshop. They conducted on-site investigations to understand core manufacturing, welding, conductive and insulating component processing, iron core winding, annealing, etc., and focused on learning key processes such as sealing, drying, and cleaning, as well as quality control standards.
During the technical exchange session, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on product performance, energy-saving advantages, and applicable scenarios. The enterprise focused on showcasing the technical features of high-load transformer products, the low-loss, low-noise, and easy-maintenance innovative characteristics of the three-dimensional rolled iron core technology, as well as the high-reliability advantages of gas-insulated equipment. The designers raised questions on material selection, processing accuracy, and product compatibility on the spot, and the technical team provided detailed answers. The interaction was efficient.
In the summary discussion, both parties expressed their willingness to deepen technical cooperation and promote project collaboration. The visitors stated that this visit to the manufacturing front line effectively broadened their technical horizons and provided strong support for subsequent design optimization. The enterprise side welcomed the research association to continuously connect with demands and jointly promote the upgrading of power engineering technology.
