Open-type Environmental Protection Energy-saving Dry-type Transformer

The open-type environmental protection energy-saving dry-type transformer adopts a polyimide film sintering and Nomex paper-wrapped mixed insulation system. The coil uses a continuous disc winding method, which has good heat dissipation and strong short-circuit resistance. The key process employs special formula R-grade insulating varnish, which is applied using VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) equipment and subjected to multiple impregnation and drying processes. The product is characterized by safety, environmental protection, energy-saving, high insulation grade, strong overload capability, flame retardant, moisture-proof, pollution-resistant, strong short-circuit resistance, and explosion-proof features. Its fireproof, explosion-proof, and environmental protection performance are superior to that of epoxy cast resin dry-type transformers.

Product Features

1.H-Grade Insulation
The insulation heat resistance grade of the SGB series open-type dry-type transformer can reach H grade (180°C) or even higher C grade (220°C), while the epoxy cast dry-type transformer (SCB series) only reaches F grade. Therefore, the SGB series offers a longer service life and stronger self-repair capability under extreme conditions such as short circuits at output load.

2.Safety and Reliability
The SGB series open-type dry-type transformer is currently the safest dry-type transformer. All insulation materials are low-halogen, low-smoke, self-extinguishing, and non-toxic, with flammable substances making up less than 10% of those in epoxy-cast products. It produces no toxic smoke when exposed to high temperatures of 800°C for extended periods, overcoming the defect of epoxy-cast dry-type transformers (SCB series), which generate large amounts of toxic gas when burned.

3.Environmental Protection
Epoxy-cast dry-type transformers (SCB series) are made from epoxy resin that is cured and cannot be decomposed or recycled after their lifespan, causing environmental pollution. In contrast, the SGB series open-type dry-type transformer can be decomposed, recycled, and reused after its service life, making it a green and environmentally friendly product.

4.Strong Overload Capability
The SGB series open-type dry-type transformer adopts new structure, new materials, and new processes, offering excellent heat dissipation, long thermal life, and strong overload capability. It can operate normally in IP23 (rainproof) environments and safely and reliably operate under 120% overload for extended periods without forced air cooling. It can run at full load for a long time without the need for forced cooling. In contrast, epoxy-cast dry-type transformers (SCB series) cannot operate at full load for extended periods and can only run at overload with forced air cooling. They can only operate in environments with relative humidity up to 95%.

5.Outstanding Moisture Resistance, Salt Fog Resistance, Reliability, and Long Service Life
The special coil design, process, and materials used in the SGB series open-type dry-type transformers provide excellent three-proof performance (moisture-proof, mildew-proof, salt fog-proof). The product can withstand thermal shock without cracking and virtually eliminates partial discharge (while epoxy-cast dry-type transformers may experience slight discharge). As a result, the SGB series has an extended service life.
